What is a sterile medical swab?
The sterile medical swab does not contain bacteria or other live microorganisms. Commonly used sterilization methods include autoclave, ETO (Ethylene Oxide Gas) and gamma radiation. Sterile swabs are usually used for biological sample collection to avoid sample contamination, and for medical purposes to avoid infection.
